Internet Arcade
The game I decided to play on Archive was Tetris. I haven’t played that game since I was 13 and I have to say I was as bad as I remember. However, it was fun overall. When I first played Tetris it was on a Game Boy and I have to say it was better on the Game Boy than the emulator. It has that same feeling as reading a physical book versus on a Kindle- I like reading a physical book better. Having it in your hands adds to the excitement. I wasn’t allowed to play on the game boy and I never owned one. I was only allowed to play when I was at the dentist—so playing a game that I was limited to added to the excitement of playing it. While playing it on my laptop which is a device that I use daily wasn’t as fun as playing it on Tetris.
The difference between the emulator vs the hardware is the controller. When using the emulator you use a keyboard but with the hardware you get to use the arcade buttons or hand controller which improves the speed and precision of the movements in the game.
